Actor Kim Min makes his presence felt in his first period project.

In the film ‘The Man Who Lives With the King’ (directed by Jang Hang-jun), which opens on the 4th, Kim Min appears as ‘Eom Tae-san’, the son of Gwangcheongol village head Eom Heung-do (played by Yoo Hae-jin).

‘The Man Who Lives With the King’ depicts, in 1457 at Cheongnyeongpo, the story of a village head who chooses exile for the revival of his village and a young former king who is deposed and banished.

Eom Tae-san, played by Kim Min, grew up in a remote mountain village without proper teachers or books, yet showed remarkable intelligence from an early age, completing the Thousand-Character Classic at age five and Elementary Learning at eight. He is truly the pride of his father, Eom Heung-do.

Crushing poverty led him to give up the state examination early on, but after meeting the retired king Yi Hong-wi (played by Park Ji-hoon), Eom Tae-san begins to nurture his academic aspirations again. Frank to a fault, he carries both composure unusual for his age and the innocence typical of youth, qualities that are expected to enrich the film.

Kim Min is expected to form a strong father-son rapport with Yoo Hae-jin and solidly support the core of the story. Blending naturally with seasoned senior actors, he delivers another memorable performance. As the released stills attest, Kim Min appears fully immersed in Eom Tae-san, drawing attention and raising expectations for the completeness of the character.

Kim Min has met audiences through a range of projects, including the dramas ‘High Cookie’, ‘Hide’, and ‘Chief Detective 1958’, and the films ‘Rebound’, ‘The Killers’, and ‘Lobby’.
