Singer Jeong Dong-won greets fans with music by releasing a new mini album. Ahead of his Marine Corps enlistment, he has put out a gift-like album for fans.
Jeong Dong-won’s new remake mini album ‘Sopumjip Vol.2’ will be released at 6 p.m. on the 5th through various music platforms.
This album is his first new release in about one year since the full-length album ‘The Gift of Kidari’ last March. As the second entry in the remake series that continues the flow of the 2023 release ‘Sopumjip Vol.1’, it carries deeper emotions and meaning.
The album features the new song ‘A Path That Crosses Today to Meet Again Tomorrow’ and a remake of Byun Jin-sub’s representative hit ‘To You, Once Again’ as double title tracks.
The new song ‘A Path That Crosses Today to Meet Again Tomorrow’ is a folk-style ballad that offers quiet comfort to those passing through times of wandering and pause. The other title track, ‘To You, Once Again’, preserves the lyricism of the original while reinterpreting it anew with Jeong Dong-won’s unadorned vocals and emotional line.
In addition, generation-spanning classics such as Jo Hang-jo’s ‘Lies’, Kim Kwang-seok’s ‘A Letter from a Private’, and Kim Jung-su’s ‘You’ are remade to fill the album. Each track is restructured to respect the moving power of the original while naturally reaching listeners living in the present.

In particular, this album is like a gift that Jeong Dong-won prepared for fans as he is set to enlist in the Marine Corps on February 23. With a brief parting ahead, it conveys his greeting to fans, gratitude for the time spent together, and a pledge to meet again tomorrow across the album.
Earlier, on the 4th, a behind-the-scenes image teaser video for the live clip of ‘A Path That Crosses Today to Meet Again Tomorrow’ was released through the official YouTube channel, further raising expectations for the new release.

Along with the release of this album, before enlisting, on February 13 Jeong Dong-won plans to hold a special fan concert at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, to meet fans in person, after which he will fulfill his duty of national defense.
