MBC Friday-Saturday drama <Judge Lee Han-Young>
Ji Sung, Park Hee-soon, and Son Byung-ho hit the peak of a suffocating psychological battle.
At 9:50 p.m. tomorrow, Friday the 6th, episode 11 of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘Judge Lee Han-Young’ (planning Namgoong Sung-Woo, Jang Jae-Hoon/ screenplay Kim Kwang-Min/ directing Lee Jae-Jin, Park Mi-Yeon/ production OH Story, Slingshot Studio) will unfold the full-fledged moves of Lee Han-Young (played by Ji Sung), who stepped into the tiger den to sweep away entrenched evil.
In the previous episode, Lee Han-Young brought down Hwang Nam-Yong (played by Kim Myung-Soo), a nominee for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and, together with Kang Shin-Jin (Park Hee-soon), entered Suojae, a hotbed of corruption. After witnessing wads of cash pouring into a bathtub under the pretext of special activity funds, Lee Han-Young, while seething, shouted inside “Crazy bastards,” yet outwardly he ground his teeth while acting as if he had assimilated with them.
As Lee Han-Young reels from the shock of seeing the ugliness of power, the stills released today, the 5th, draw attention by depicting an uneasy three-way face-off involving Lee Han-Young and Kang Shin-Jin, who harbor different aims, and Park Kwang-To (played by Son Byung-ho).
Introduced by Kang Shin-Jin, Lee Han-Young visits the office of Park Kwang-To, his taut expression conveying the weight of the war he is waging. Soon adopting a poker face, Han-Young hides his true intentions and strives to blend into the ranks of great evil in order to realize justice. By contrast, Park Kwang-To looks at Lee Han-Young with a relaxed yet meaningful expression that amplifies an inexplicable unease.
Meanwhile, raging ambition fills the eyes of Kang Shin-Jin as he looks at Park Kwang-To. Previously, he blackmailed Hwang Nam-Yong, who was on the brink of being stripped of the robe due to a hiring scandal involving his son, and secured a USB containing the illegal political slush funds of Park Kwang-To. Although Kang Shin-Jin, as a key figure in Suojae, serves as the loyal lieutenant of Park Kwang-To, he also holds his Achilles heel, raising curiosity about the true nature of the scheme he is hatching. Park Kwang-To, for his own reasons, also begins to harbor suspicion toward Kang Shin-Jin, and an invisible rift is said to begin to rear its head between the two. Attention is on whether Lee Han-Young can burrow into their alliance, which is full of mutual distrust and greed.
