Singer Tae Jin-ah shares his feelings on the first anniversary of the late Song Dae-kwan.
TV Chosun ‘A Friday That Strikes Gold’, airing on the 6th, will be a memorial special marking the first anniversary of the late Song Dae-kwan. On the broadcast, Tae Jin-ah appears to look back on memories with the deceased and on his life in music.
At the recording, Tae Jin-ah expressed his longing for Song Dae-kwan. He said, “He was the companion I loved most among seniors and juniors alike,” and added, “In fact, I have never considered senior Song Dae-kwan a rival.” This contrasts with the public perception that the two have long been seen as representative rivals in the trot scene.
The special will also feature stages where junior singers reinterpret classic songs by the two legends. Oh Yu-jin will sing the Tae Jin-ah song ‘Samo-gok’, and Nam Seung-min will take the stage with the Song Dae-kwan number ‘One Ticket’.
Choi Jae-myung will perform ‘Haetdeulnal’, a representative song of the late singer that was also sung at his funeral. In addition, 10 junior singers are set to fill the stage with hits by Tae Jin-ah and Song Dae-kwan.
The Song Dae-kwan first-anniversary special of ‘A Friday That Strikes Gold’ will air on TV Chosun at 10 p.m. on the 6th.
