Star instructor Lee Ji-young is drawing attention as a past answer she left on Knowledge iN is being revisited.

Etoos social studies instructor Lee Ji-young posted on her Instagram Story on the 4th, “Naver… bringing back a 21-year-old post I had forgotten.” This was her reaction after a ‘Knowledge iN’ button was added to Naver’s profile pages that evening, revealing posts celebrities had written through the Knowledge iN service in the past.

The post included the distressed message of a high school senior who was in severe pain due to family circumstances and conflict with their parents, along with Lee Ji-young’s lengthy reply offering comfort.

Lee Ji-young wrote, “Thinking about wanting to die means you are that attached to your life,” and introduced a professor’s anecdote about a ‘crumpled 100,000-won check’.

The point was that, “Just as a check’s value does not change even if it is crumpled and dirtied, the value of ‘me’ as a person is precious regardless of circumstances.”

She continued, “The greatest revenge against someone is to succeed,” advising not to be overly bound by the framework of college and to protect yourself first.

She also added practical words of comfort such as, “Living apart from your parents can ease lingering resentment,” “You can make money one way or another,” and “Love yourself as you are.”

Online users who saw this responded, “A true teacher; I was comforted too,” “Really like a ‘teacher.’ It feels like consolation from someone who has lived life first, not just someone who teaches knowledge,” and more.

Lee Ji-young also shared on her Instagram Story that day, leaving a warm message: “I would like to see the student who wrote that post. If it is you, please send me a DM. Let’s have a meal together.”

Meanwhile, the Knowledge iN exposure error on Naver has now been fixed.
