On the 5th, SOOP announced the final selection of the ‘team-specific supporter streamers’ who will lead cheering on behalf of each LCK team.
The supporter streamers were selected for each of the seven LCK teams partnered with SOOP. Supporter streamers including T1 Lee Sang-ho and DN SOOPers Attung will run LCK-related broadcasts focused on cheering content.
Starting on the 6th, broadcasts by supporter streamers will feature dedicated chat window skins and team-exclusive emotes that embody each team identity. Users will be able to engage in passionate cheering battles with streamers and other fans in an environment that reflects the identity of the team they support. Broadcasts not run by team supporter streamers will use a neutral skin.
SOOP will support the selected streamers so they can operate as team-dedicated streamers. Their channels will receive an official supporter verification badge, and related broadcasts will be showcased through a dedicated promotion area on the esports page. In addition, team merchandise will be linked to the LIVE player and ad balloons, enabling users to purchase products easily during broadcasts.
Team supporter streamers will also receive a supporter kit consisting of a uniform that includes player autographs and an official certificate. They will be offered opportunities to participate in offline events such as viewing parties and team events, as well as to co-create content with active players. Rewards will be provided based on activity outcomes and team performance.
Meanwhile, this team supporter system is set to be applied not only to the LCK but also to FSL (FC Online), VCT (Valorant), and PWS (PUBG), and SOOP plans to expand it to various other game leagues thereafter.
