On the February 6 broadcast of KBS 2TV ‘New Release Pyeonstorang’ (hereafter ‘Pyeonstorang’), the quintessential elite broadcaster and original golden boy Oh Sang-jin joins as a rookie chef on the show. Having shown his versatility across culture programs, variety, and even acting, the epitome of a handsome gentleman, Oh Sang-jin, is set to fully showcase the cooking skills he has honed over 25 years. Along with this, viewers can also look forward to seeing the humorously sad (?) daily life of Oh Sang-jin, who has taken it upon himself to be ‘Oh Butler’ for his beloved wife and daughter.
In the VCR revealed that day, Oh Sang-jin quietly wakes at dawn and steps into the kitchen. He busily begins preparing breakfast before his wife, Kim So-young, and their 7-year-old daughter, Sua, wake up. Oh Sang-jin married Kim So-young, who had been his junior colleague as an MBC announcer, in 2017 after two years of dating. Kim So-young is currently a businesswoman running various brands and is spending very busy days. In particular, news recently spread that she even secured a 7 billion won investment from a well-known investment company, drawing attention.

What also caught the eye was the remarkably tidy home of Oh Sang-jin. The new home of the couple, Oh Sang-jin X Kim So-young, revealed on air for the first time, was spotless in every corner. In the kitchen, where the simple white-and-brown interior stands out, various dishes and utensils were neatly organized by size and type. Oh Sang-jin explained, “My wife (Kim So-young) is neat, and I also like to tidy up.”
In the quiet early hours, having stepped into the kitchen, Oh Sang-jin began in earnest to make breakfast for his 7-year-old daughter, Sua. Oh Sang-jin said, “My wife is really busy because of her business, and since I have relatively more time, I mainly take charge of the housework,” adding, “I am doing a sort of butler role, and both childcare and cooking suit me. So I am satisfied with my current life,” as he beamed.
From making breakfast for his daughter and wife, Oh Butler Oh Sang-jin’s day was heartwarming through and through. Not only did he effortlessly whip up dishes that hinted at impressive skill, but watching the tireless routine of Oh Butlerjuggling his daughter’s care and supporting his wifethe ‘Pyeonstorang’ family could not take their eyes off him, saying, “Since he does so well, his wife can trust him with all the housework,” and, “How at ease So-young must feel even when she is working outside.”
