Heo Ga-yoon, formerly of the group ‘4Minute’, shared an update on her life on television for the first time in a while.

The teaser for tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ that aired on the 4th featured Heo Ga-yoon. In the video, she stated, “I have been living in Bali for three years.”

She said, “I once got caught up in school bullying, and even when they hit me, I chose to just take it,” and, “I could not tell anyone I had a binge-eating disorder, and I would eat until my belly skin hurt (and then stop),” opening up about her difficult past.

Heo Ga-yoon also mentioned her older brother, who died of an illness in 2020. She said, “My brother suddenly passed away,” and showed tears as she added, “My parents said, ‘If you were not here, we would want to follow him.’”

Heo Ga-yoon, an actress and former main vocalist of the second-generation K-pop group 4Minute, abruptly halted her entertainment activities, prompting curiosity.

In January, Heo Ga-yoon appeared on the YouTube program ‘Sebasi Lecture’ and recalled the time of her brother’s death. She confessed, “It was not long after my brother had started living on his own. While sorting through his belongings, the words he had said kept coming to mind. Because the home appliances and such were all brand new, it hurt even more. After he was gone, for the first time I thought that life was truly futile.” At that time, she said, “Do not put it off to next time or later; live so that even if you die tomorrow, you have no regrets. That resolve became the reason I left for Bali.”
