KBS2 new daily drama ‘Red Pearl’
‘Red Pearl’ has unveiled a ‘Jinju teaser’ that captures the opening act of revenge for Nam Sang-ji.
Set to premiere at 7:50 p.m. on the 23rd, KBS2 new daily drama ‘Red Pearl’ (directed by Kim Seong-geun / written by Kim Seo-jeong / produced by DK E&M, Monster Union) is a meticulously crafted, intense chronicle of revenge in which two women who return under false identities expose the hidden sins and truths of the Adel family.
The ‘Jinju teaser’, released on the 5th, features the fresh-faced couple Baek Jin-ju (played by Nam Sang-ji) and Park Min-jun (played by Kim Kyung-bo) spending sweet time together, while Choi Yuna (played by Cheon Hee-ju) watches them with a jealous gaze, foreshadowing a crack between the two and keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
We hear Baek Jin-ju screaming for her dad, and she freezes before the horrific sight of a car collision and explosion. This hints at the incident that turned her life upside down and pushes immersion to its peak.
Moments later, with the line “If I leave like this, I will truly be a dead person,” Baek Jin-ju appears wearing sunglasses and a cynical expression. Having discarded her former name and life, she returns under a new identity, ‘Chloe Lee’, leaving a powerful impression.
Back under a false identity, Chloe (played by Nam Sang-ji) approaches Park Min-jun and tempts him by saying, “Care to have some fun with me?”, a bold move that contrasts with her once-innocent past and draws attention. Park Min-jun is deeply shaken as he looks at Chloe, who has the same face as the woman he loved, and the precarious undercurrent between the two heightens curiosity about what comes next. Then the gazes of Kim Dan-hee (played by Park Jin-hee) and Chloe intertwine as they watch, creating another layer of tension.
As Jin-ju says, “All that remains for me now is revenge, nothing else,” she stands tall before those who drove her to ruin, raising expectations for what kind of satisfying counterattack she will deliver.
KBS2 new daily drama ‘Red Pearl’ is scheduled to premiere at 7:50 p.m. on the 23rd as the follow-up to ‘Intimate Ripley’.
