CORTIS will make a surprise appearance on ‘M Countdown’.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) will perform the track ‘JoyRide’ from their debut album on the Mnet music show ‘M Countdown’ on the 5th. In addition, members Martin, James, and Sunghyun are set to serve as special MCs. Much attention is focused on their first attempt at hosting.
The agency BigHit Music said “To repay the continued love for the debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’, we prepared this performance. As it reflects the determination of the five members, who wish to deliver thanks to ‘COER’ (COER, fandom name) with a great performance, we ask for much anticipation”.
‘JoyRide’ is a song to which all members contributed as lyricists and composers, combining the characteristic lyrical and catchy melodies of the alternative rock genre with pop elements. The song has garnered enthusiastic responses whenever it has been presented on radio and at concerts. This will be its first performance on a music show. It is expected to showcase a different charm from the promotional tracks that drew attention with powerful performances, ‘What You Want’, ‘GO!’, and ‘FaSHioN’.
Including the ‘M Countdown’ appearance, CORTIS is set to bring great enjoyment to fans through diverse activities. They have been invited as headliners for the ‘NBA Crossover concert series’ (NBA Crossover concert series) to be held on the 12th (local time) at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the United States. On the 13th, they will take the halftime show stage at the ‘2026 Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game’ (2026 Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game) to be held at the Kia Forum in California, United States. Also on the same day, the team first OST contribution, the track ‘Mention Me’, will be released.
According to the latest charts (dated February 7) released by the U.S. music media outlet Billboard, the debut album by CORTIS, ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’, placed at No. 13 on both ‘Top Album Sales’ and ‘Top Current Album Sales’, which track physical album sales in the United States. On ‘World Albums’, it ranked No. 4, maintaining a spot on the chart for 21 consecutive weeks.
