AOMG co-ed hip-hop group SIKKOO will release its second EP ‘home’ on the 6th.

SIKKOO (YOSI·200·Koo Min-jae) on the 2nd began warming up for its comeback by updating profiles on social media, various music platforms, and portal sites with a new logo and a group profile photo.

On the 3rd, through SIKKOO social media and YouTube channel, the highlight medley for the second EP ‘home (Home)’ was unveiled. According to the medley, ‘home’ contains seven tracks in total: the double title tracks ‘nosho (No-show)’, ‘Jigilom (kinda Guilty)’, as well as ‘bad trip (Bad Trip)’, ‘demons (Demons)’, ‘AI LOVE (AI Love)’, ‘BAPPY (BAPPY)’, and the title track of the same name, ‘home’.

First, ‘nosho’ delivers an addictive pull with SIKKOO’s own Korean-English energy and a melodic, groovy sound. The other title track, ‘Jigilom’, is a homage to Dynamic Duo’s ‘Guilty’, spotlighting Koo Min-jae (KOO) with rough, minimalist rapping.

Also, ‘bad trip’ is a solo by Koo Min-jae; ‘demons’ by 200 (EBACK, Ibaek); and ‘AI LOVE’ by YOSI, each packing a distinct flow and message. In addition, ‘BAPPY’, which unpacks the paradox and confusion of feeling bad yet happy over a baile-funk-style beat, and the duet ‘home’ by 200 and YOSI together display the spectrum of SIKKOO across diverse genres.

The day after the album release, at 6 p.m. on the 7th, SIKKOO will host a ‘home’ release party at Lovelovelove in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, sharing a special time with the audience. There, they plan to unveil the new songs live for the first time and win over listeners with an upgraded musical style.

YOSI, an all-around producer for the group; 200, the sole female member with a unique vocal tone; and leader and youngest member Koo Min-jae all took part across planning and production on this album, demonstrating capability as ‘multiplayer artists’. Among them, 200 is also active as a contestant on Mnet’s ‘Show Me the Money 12’.

After joining AOMG last year and releasing its first EP ‘Gan ’, SIKKOO drew attention as a rising hip-hop group with a singular sensibility. Anticipation now turns to the musical variations SIKKOO will present on the new EP ‘home’.
