Kim Seung-su set the record straight about rumors regarding his sexual orientation.

On the episode of KBS 2TV “Problem Children in the Rooftop Room” aired on the 5th (hereafter “Problem Children in the Rooftop Room”), Kim Seung-su and So Yi-hyun, the lead actors of the KBS weekend drama “We Prescribe Love,” appeared together as guests.

That day, Kim Seung-su said, “People around me often mistake me for a married man,” adding, “Now that I appear on variety shows, people know I live alone, but before, 99% assumed I was married. Some even thought I had kids. I would be drinking alone, and people would tell me to hurry home because my wife and child were waiting.”

He explained, “Sometimes female friends of acquaintances joined our drinking gatherings, and if a blind-date mood developed, the women would immediately turn serious,” adding, “It was because they thought I was married. I was very embarrassed as well.”

The cast asked So Yi-hyun to introduce a good woman from her circle, but So Yi-hyun shut it down, saying, “They are all married.” Kim Seung-su replied, “Take a closer look.” So Yi-hyun said, “I have known him for a long time, and he is a good man. He is sweet and handsome…” Seizing on this, Song Eun-yi said, “We can get to know each other by dating,” trying to spark a love line, but Hong Jin-kyung asked, “There have also been talks about his sexual orientation, haven’t there?” which killed the mood and drew boos.

Addressing his sexual orientation, Kim Seung-su said, “I will make it clear here. Because I have lived alone for a long time, among those who had various thoughts, a man once wrote in a fan letter, ‘Hyung, I understand your heart. You can confide only in me.’ Absolutely not. I like women most in the world.”
