TV CHOSUN ‘Lovers of Joseon’
On TV CHOSUN’s hyper-realistic docu-variety ‘Lovers of Joseon,’ the couple Bae Gi-seong♥Lee Eun-bi, who have joined the show, visit a Korean medicine clinic known as a ‘sanctuary for couples facing infertility’ and ask candid questions borne of their earnest longing for a child.
In the pre-release video for the February 9 (Mon) broadcast of ‘Lovers of Joseon,’ the couple Bae Gi-seong♥Lee Eun-bi, married for nine years but still without children, head to a Korean medicine clinic dubbed a ‘sanctuary for couples with infertility.’ Bae Gi-seong’s wife, Lee Eun-bi, poses a bold question: “The common advice from people around me was, ‘(If you want to conceive) just do it as much as possible.’”
However, the Korean medicine doctor, trusted by couples struggling with infertility to the point of being called the ‘Samsin Grandma,’ replied that there are physical limits in one’s fifties. Lee Eun-bi continued her barrage of desperate questions: “Is it the number of times that is hard, or is it hard to go strong in a single try? And they say if you go deeper it is a boy, otherwise a girl...” Beside her, husband Bae Gi-seong bowed his head, his face turning red. The ‘love masters’ watching via VCR burst into laughter, and Kim Guk-jin marveled, “She has quite a daring side.” Lee Eun-bi then said, “This is something I was truly curious about, off the record...” and lobbed a decisive question at the doctor. Lee Eun-bi’s ‘one shot’ will be revealed in the main broadcast.
Charging ahead toward having a child, Lee Eun-bi’s ‘49-plus barrage of questions’ and the clear advice of the infertility-specialist Korean medicine doctor will be revealed on the hyper-realistic docu-variety TV CHOSUN ‘Lovers of Joseon’ at 10 p.m. on Monday, February 9.
