Following the previous week, which covered the son abused by the mother, this episode centered on the relationship between the mother and daughter. The daughter appeared spending most of the day in her room, absorbed in games. In the past, prompted by her mother, she worked as a nursing assistant, but due to a fear of injections she quit the hospital two years ago and became even more immersed in gaming.
The program also showed the mother and daughter sitting face to face at the dining table and talking. The mother confessed, “Looking at your cousin who is only a month different in age, I thought, ‘Why is my daughter so lacking?’ I think I even hit you out of frustration.” She then apologized, saying, “I am sorry for comparing,” but the daughter showed no reaction.
As the daughter remained silent, the mother, sounding frustrated, began with, “May I talk about myself?”, then mentioned how old the daughter is and started comparing again. “Next year you will be 35, whereas my daughter-in-law had a child at twenty-seven and is raising the baby,” she demanded that the daughter stop gaming and make plans for the future. After the mother continued with one-sided remarks for a long time, the daughter returned to her room and immersed herself in games.
In an interview with the production team, the mother even raised suspicions about the mental health of her daughter. The mother said, “I think my daughter has a mental issue. I even think she may have autistic traits,” and questioned her ability to communicate.

Meanwhile, the broadcast also shed light on the father of the Ae-mo family and his attitude. While the mother and the siblings discussed the matter, the father sat on the living room sofa, turned away from it, and continued a cheerful phone conversation. Panelist Jang Dong-min said, “The person with the most serious problem in the family seems to be the father,” adding, “Although he was in the same space, he appeared the most like an outsider. He shows no interest in the problems or conversations of the household.”
The son, about the father and his reaction, said, “I already knew he would be like that,” and, “He does not try to have uncomfortable conversations.” When Dr. Oh Eun-young asked, “Is this a recent change?”, the son confessed, “His attitude changed once he stopped using violence,” causing shock.

The mother also revealed why she applied to the program. In the lengthy application the mother submitted to the production team, it stated, “The police were dispatched several times due to assault,” “He often engages in verbal abuse,” and “I have no will to live.” In particular, she said, “When I was full-term pregnant with our daughter, my husband assaulted me so much that I had to put pain-relief patches all over my body,” and, “He could not hold back his temper, and when angry, he was uncontrollable.” She added, “Because that was the environment even from when the baby was in my womb, I worried it might have affected my daughter even more.”
In response, Dr. Oh Eun-young expressed deep sorrow to the mother, saying, “You, too, are a victim of domestic violence.”
