Under the leadership of executive producer Yang Hyun-suk, YG Entertainment is further strengthening efforts to discover talent that will shape the future of the global K-pop market.

On the 5th, YG Entertainment posted ‘2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT’ on its official blog. Following the official poster announcing the event, it further fueled participation with a video chronicling the debut journeys of TREASURE and BABYMONSTER.

The video shows members being selected as YG trainees, undergoing systematic training and numerous evaluations, and gradually becoming fully fledged artists. In the final scene, they command the concert stage amid fans’ thunderous cheers, drawing attention.

Over the years, YG Entertainment has led the K-pop boom by launching many artists who perform on the global stage beyond Korea. Recently, it has further reinforced its training system, drastically shortening the time to debut, and is accelerating the launch of next-generation groups.

YG stated, “As you can tell from the title ‘SPECIAL AUDITION’, this audition has a major point of differentiation. Unlike before, executive producer Yang Hyun-suk, with a strong commitment to discovering a major newcomer to follow BIGBANG and BLACKPINK, will personally take part from the very first gateway of the audition, the document screening.”

Meanwhile, applications for ‘2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT’ are open until February 28 via the YG audition website or the QR code on the poster. Anyone born between 2007 and 2015, regardless of gender or nationality, may apply. Applicants should choose one field in which they are confident (singing, rap, dance, visuals, or star quality) and showcase their potential in a video of up to 1 minute.
