Jennie of BLACKPINK showcased her ‘young and rich’ power.

According to the registry, Jennie bought a building on Jangmun-ro in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, paying a little over 16.7 billion KRW entirely in cash last May. The registration was completed last December. Including incidental costs such as acquisition and registration taxes, the total is expected to come to a little over 20 billion KRW.

The building had been used as the Embassy of Iraq in Korea and consists of one basement level and two floors above ground, with a land area of 595㎡ (about 180 pyeong) and a total floor area of 551.08㎡ (about 166.7 pyeong). The price per pyeong is around 110 million KRW.

Jennie’s building is considered ‘prime land’ that has directly and indirectly benefited from the Yongsan Park development project and the mixed-use development on the U.N. Command site (The Parkside Seoul), and the price she paid is analyzed as a reasonable investment when considering its future value.

As it was used as an embassy, it is also a standalone building with proven security and location, another point in its favor.

La Terrasse Hannam in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where Jennie resides, is also a luxury villa she bought in 2023, paying the full amount in cash of a little over 5 billion KRW.

Jennie’s one-person label, Odd Atelier (OA), has rented an entire newly built building in Hannam-dong, Seoul, and the monthly rent alone is said to exceed 60 million KRW.

Industry observers note that Jennie has concentrated her residence (La Terrasse Hannam), office (Odd Atelier), and investment property (Dongbinggo-dong) all within the ‘Yongsan·Hannam belt’.

This area is considered superior to Gangnam in terms of privacy, and for Jennie, who has frequent overseas activities, it offers efficient travel routes, including airport accessibility.

Jennie is currently focusing on preparations for BLACKPINK’s return.
