Actor Jung Eun-woo (birth name Jung Dong-jin) has passed away. He was 40.

According to industry sources on the 11th, Jung Eun-woo died that day. The wake has been prepared in Special Room 2 at New Goryeo Hospital Funeral Home in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, and the funeral will be held at noon on the 13th. The burial site is Byeokje Seunghwawon.

Debuting in 2006 with the KBS 2TV youth drama ‘Banollim 3’, Jung Eun-woo went on to appear in numerous works, including ‘Bride of the Sun’, ‘Five Fingers’, ‘A Well-Raised Daughter’, ‘The Return of Hwang Geum-bok’, and ‘My Only One’, making his face known. In particular, he played lead roles in ‘Bride of the Sun’ and ‘A Well-Raised Daughter’, and left a strong impression on viewers as Wang I-ryuk in ‘My Only One’.

He was recognized for his acting, winning the New Star Award at the 2012 SBS Drama Awards and the Special Acting Award in the One-Act/Special Drama category at the 2013 SBS Drama Awards. On the big screen, he broadened his activities by appearing in works such as ‘Bullyang Namnyeo’, ‘Miss Change’, and ‘Memory: Jojak Sarin’. His final project was the 2021 film ‘Memory: Jojak Sarin’.
