Sandeul of B1A4 shared his thoughts on balancing the musical stage with his work as a singer and announced that the group will make a comeback.
In an interview with Sports Kyunghyang held on the afternoon of the 12th at the D-Cube Link Art Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Sandeul shared the welcome news fans have been waiting for, saying, “A new B1A4 song will be released on April 21.”
He said he is deep into preparations for the comeback and added a playful episode that drew laughter: “While recording, I often get scolded by Shinwoo hyung with, ‘Why are you singing so poorly?’”
Sandeul is thinking hard about bridging the gap between L in ‘Death Note’ and his role as a B1A4 member. He said, “Musical numbers are demanding pieces that require heavy use of the vocal cords, so going straight into recording a pop song can result in a less-than-ideal outcome,” and added, “I am readjusting the setup and tuning my voice so that it works well both for B1A4 and for L in ‘Death Note’. It is a very significant experience and a challenge for me.”
Meanwhile, B1A4, marking the 15th anniversary of its debut this year, has raised expectations by signaling a long-awaited return to full-group activities following military service and individual activities by the members. Sandeul plans to continue meeting fans as a B1A4 member while appearing on stage as L in the musical ‘Death Note’ through March.
