Actor Sandeul, who was cast alongside Kim Sung-kyu as ‘L’ in the musical ‘Death Note’, revealed his special trust in his colleague.

In an interview with Sports Kyunghyang held on the afternoon of the 12th at the D-Cube Link Art Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Sandeul said, “Sung-kyu is in his 16th year, and I am in my 15th. Having spent years in both the pop and musical theater scenes, we can now tell, just from a look, what is difficult and what is good for each other.”

Kim Sung-kyu, who debuted with Infinite in 2010, and Sandeul, who debuted with B1A4 in 2011. The two overcame the pressure in the rehearsal room by relying on the rapport they built while working in similar environments.

Sandeul said, “I felt a lot of pressure preparing for a big production, but talking with Sung-kyu and saying, ‘When have we ever been in an environment unlike this? We have always been in one like this,’ helped us cheer each other on.”

He added, “It was a great source of strength to have someone who could understand the other without lengthy explanations.”

Meanwhile, the musical ‘Death Note’ is based on the anime of the same name and depicts the fierce battle of wits between the genius high school student ‘Light’ and the master detective ‘L’ over the ‘Death Note’, which causes death when a name is written in it. In the show, Sandeul plays the world-renowned detective ‘L’, a figure shrouded in mystery, delicately portraying his uncanny genius.
