Hwang Jae-gyun opened up about appearing on ‘I Live Alone’.
On the JTBC ‘Yes Man’ episode aired on the 14th, with football legend Kim Young-kwang having been named the fourth to be eliminated last week, former baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun joins.
That day, Hwang said, “Watching ‘Yes Man’, I thought I had retired for that,” and added, “I decided I would go on in one second.” When Kim Nam-il pointed out, “I guess you did not see a future in baseball,” the studio buzzed. Hwang replied, “It is fine, since we are sitting together.”
Yoon Seok-min asked Hwang, “I heard that after retiring you were not going to do television,” and Hwang explained, “It was that I would not do baseball variety shows, but the articles came out that way.” Then Ha Seung-jin asked about appearing on ‘I Live Alone’, saying, “Now you can go on that program again, right?”, and a flustered Hwang answered, “Right.” Yoon Seok-min asked, “Living alone?”
The studio erupted. Seo Jang-hoon laughed, saying, “This is a very important ability. I also do not think this is desirable. I have been on the receiving end from Kim Hee-chul and Lee Soo-geun for more than ten years. But it is funny.”
Meanwhile, Hwang married Jiyeon, formerly of the group T-ara, in 2022, but divorced in 2024.
