Jennie set out to secure the phone number of An Se-young.
On the third episode of MBC variety ‘Manitto Club’ aired on the 15th, Jennie, Lee Su-Ji, Dex, Choo Sung-Hoon, and Noh Hong-Chul became manittos for elementary school children and prepared special gifts.
After seeing the wish notes from the children that day, Lee Su-Ji said, “Overall, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders seem to be starting badminton activities. So I sent a DM to player An Se-young”. Noh Hong-Chul asked, “Are you crazy. You are contacting a national team athlete because of elementary school kids”, and Lee Su-Ji said, “The kids are more serious about badminton than I expected. So at least a message of support”.
Hearing this, Jennie looked at her phone, saying, “Ms. An Se-young”. Lee Su-Ji asked Jennie, “Do you know her?”, and Jennie replied, “I do not know her, but I think I can find her”.
Later, while in a car en route, Jennie received a call and said, “I think I can get the phone number for player An Se-young”. During a break, Jennie then rushed over to Lee Su-Ji. They managed to reach the manager for player An Se-young. Jennie and Lee Su-Ji spoke with the manager together. Lee Su-Ji explained the purpose of the program and asked for a message of support for the children, and Jennie joined in the request.
The manager said that player An Se-young was currently leaving the country for a tournament and that, although it would be difficult, the request would be passed along by the evening.
