The subdued atmosphere as ‘Single’s Inferno 5’ cast members Kim Min-ji and Choi Min-a-su watched a VCR of their conflict together has become a talking point.
In the behind-the-scenes program ‘Single’s Inferno Reunion’ for the Netflix variety show ‘Single’s Inferno 5,’ released on the 14th, the cast reunited about six months after filming to watch their on-air moments together via VCR and candidly share how their relationships have changed and how they have been since.
The VCR released that day showed Choi Min-a-su confiding in Sunghoon. At the time, Mina-su talked to Sunghoon about her conflict with Min-ji and confessed she felt as if she had become the bad person for no reason. She said, “I was really good to the other women. I even lent bikinis and always tried to help,” adding, “Because the person I like was showing interest in me, I felt like people were keeping their distance.”
In the VCR, Choi Min-a-su said, “It seems Min-ji doesn’t like me talking to Seung-il.” Watching this, Kim Min-ji, looking surprised, explained, “No. I was just staying still. I think I was a bit exhausted.”
When the VCR then showed Choi saying, “If other women are talking to that guy, I leave it as is,” Kim Min-ji directly told her, “Mina, you can’t manage your facial expressions either.” And when the line “I was really good to the girls. I even lent bikinis” came up, Kim added, “That’s me, right? She’s talking about me. If you’re going to put it like that, you didn’t need to lend it,” showing her discomfort.

Throughout the video, Choi Min-a-su looked restless. Hearing her own words, she said, “Wow, why did you put this in? I said something like that?” looking embarrassed, and eventually admitted, “I have nothing to say. It’s my fault.” In response, Kim Min-ji said, “No comment. I’ll talk with Mina separately later.”
Catching her breath for a moment, Choi Min-a-su even asked, “Could I take a short break?”
In a later interview with the production team, Choi Min-a-su said, “I think I was arrogant and not humble,” adding, “I’m a very candid person, so there have been times I didn’t get along with people, and I felt ashamed thinking someone might have been hurt by my actions.”
Kim Min-ji also said, “The moment I saw that, I didn’t think anything nice would come out. I thought it would be better to hear Mina’s explanation separately later.”
