Comedian Kim Dae-hee unveiled for the first time the newly built Gangnam apartment with a Han River view he recently moved into, cheerfully addressing the ‘23 billion won luxury-home rumor’ that had been circulating online.

In a video released on the YouTube channel ‘Supa TV’ on the 14th, Kim showcased his brand-new home, having moved in only four days earlier. Even a visiting acquaintance could not help but marvel at the panoramic Han River vista unfolding beyond the living-room windows, saying, “No wonder they say celebrities have nothing to worry about; you have made a lot of money.”

That day, regarding the much-talked-about ‘23 billion won price tag’ rumor, Kim quipped, “The house is 23 billion won, but people may keep misunderstanding it as 3 billion won.” He quickly added, “In reality, it is a mountain of debt. An endlessly insufficient pile of debt,” smoothing things over with his trademark broke-guy humor and eliciting laughter.

The interior of the new home, reflecting Kim’s neat personality, is styled with a modern and sophisticated feel. What drew the most attention, in particular, was his affection for his children.

On site, the second daughter, who had recently shared news of her admission to a college of Korean medicine, was also spotted. An acquaintance handed her some pocket money with the words, “Sincere congratulations on your admission to the college of Korean medicine,” and Kim, while teasing, said, “What is this, are you starting elementary school?” Yet a proud smile never left his face, revealing the quintessential doting father.

With his eldest daughter attending Yonsei University and his second daughter now entering a college of Korean medicine, Kim has established himself as part of an elite family in the entertainment industry; coupled with the milestone of moving into a Gangnam Han River-view apartment, he is enjoying a peak period.

Kim remarked, “Drawing good energy from the new home, I will continue to bring even bigger laughs to viewers.”
