KBS2 New Daily Drama ‘Red Pearl’
‘Red Pearl’ has unveiled behind-the-scenes stills capturing a warm and friendly set ahead of its premiere.
The new KBS2 daily drama ‘Red Pearl’, scheduled to premiere at 7:50 p.m. on the 23rd (directed by Kim Sung-geun / written by Kim Seo-jung / produced by DK E&M, Monster Union), is a meticulously crafted and intense revenge saga about two women who return under false identities to expose the sins and truths hidden within the Adel family.
The stills released on the 18th draw attention as they faithfully capture the passionate presence of Park Jin-hee (as Kim Myung-hee/Kim Dan-hee), Nam Sang-ji (as Baek Jin-joo/Chloe), Choi Jae-sung (as Park Tae-ho), Kim Hee-jung (as Oh Jeong-ran), Kim Kyung-bo (as Park Min-jun), Kang Da-bin (as Park Hyun-jun), and Cheon Hee-joo (as Choi Yu-na).
One can sense professionalism in Park Jin-hee, who never lets go of her script and meticulously checks her lines wherever she is. It is said that, together with Kim Hee-jung, she studied the script to deepen viewer immersion and did not miss even the smallest details, astonishing the on-site staff.
Meanwhile, Nam Sang-ji and Kim Kyung-bo showcased flawless chemistry. In every scene they displayed remarkable focus, and with nuanced expression, at times with just a look, they fully conveyed the deep emotional arcs of Baek Jin-joo and Park Min-jun.
Choi Jae-sung was likewise captured constantly reading his script to deliver lines naturally, drawing the eye. Expectations are rising for his portrayal of the villainous Chairman Park Tae-ho.
Above all, the warm and convivial mood on set shines. Despite being a densely plotted revenge drama, the set was filled with laughter. Kang Da-bin and Cheon Hee-joo elevated the work with a professional presence that radiated lively energy while never losing the emotional through lines of their characters.
