Choa, formerly of the girl group Crayon Pop, overcame cervical cancer and became a mother of twins.
On the 27th, via her SNS (social networking service), Choa announced the birth of her twins, saying, “Cute 2.46㎏, Heart 2.38㎏. They arrived on planet Earth very healthy, crying loudly the moment they were born.”
She continued, “They are with mom and dad without a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). Thanks to your wishes for a smooth delivery. I am also perfectly fine,” and revealed a photo of the twin boys lying side by side.
Debuting with Crayon Pop in 2012, Choa has been loved for addictive songs such as ‘Bba Bba Bba’ and ‘Eoi’. In 202021, she married a businessman six years her senior.
However, just a year after the marriage, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, underwent cancer resection and fertility-preserving surgery, and continued treatment thereafter. Early this year, after being told she could prepare for pregnancy, she conceived on her first round of in vitro fertilization, receiving many congratulations.
Choa had said she scheduled a C-section for the 5th of next month, but due to sudden bleeding and uterine contractions, she went to the hospital and was able to meet her twins safely that day.
