Singer Baek Ji-young opened up about her candid feelings toward her past plastic surgeries and revealed she is considering revision procedures.
On the 28th, a video titled ‘Why does Baek Ji-young regret having ‘this’ surgery 30 years ago? (Considering revision surgery)’ was released on the YouTube channel of Baek Ji-young.
In the video, she said, “The moment you follow trends in plastic surgery, it goes wrong. If you chase what is fashionable at that time, you will later hear that it looks unnatural,” offering advice drawn from experience.
She recalled that after graduating from high school and entering a broadcasting and entertainment program, she first had eye and nose surgeries, saying, “At the time, thick double eyelids were in fashion. I was satisfied with the first surgery, but as time passed, the standards changed.” She added, “If I could go back, I do not think I would do it. My old face fits today’s trend better,” expressing regret.

Regarding the rumor raised by some that she ‘spent $750,000 (1,000,000,000 KRW) on plastic surgery,’ she drew a line, saying, “It is not to that extent.” She added, “Do not do every procedure at once, and be wary of clinics that recommend multiple surgeries. This is a conclusion reached after years of failures.”
The video also revealed her concerns about a nose revision. Visiting a plastic surgery clinic with Jung Suk-won, Baek Ji-young confided, “My nose used to be long, but it has gradually become shorter, and the shape of my nostrils has also changed.” A specialist explained the possibility of revision, saying, “Rather than the basic shape of the nose, changes in length have altered the overall impression,” while also assessing that “it is not a severe condition.”
Observing the consultation, Jung Suk-won said, “If cartilage grafting is needed, is cartilage from another person possible? I want to give you cartilage from my ear,” prompting laughter. When the specialist replied, “There is no such case,” Baek Ji-young wrapped it up with a joke: “Let us not do experiments. I still have cartilage, too.”
Asked about the possibility of her daughter getting plastic surgery, she said, “I would respect it if she wants to, but she would probably need permission from her father.” In response, Jung Suk-won stated firmly, “I keep saying that being natural is the most attractive.”
Baek Ji-young reiterated, “Once you cross a certain line, there is no satisfaction,” and emphasized, “The most important thing is to make choices that suit my face.” Having long enjoyed the affection of the public, she elicited empathy by sharing candid concerns and experiences hidden behind the glamour through this video.
