SF9 member Yoo Taeyang answers the call of duty.

On the 3rd, Yoo Taeyang will enter service to fulfill his military duty. After receiving basic military training at a recruit training center, he will move to the military band to serve.

His agency, FNC Entertainment, also announced his enlistment on the official fan cafe on February 6. The agency stated, “As the enlistment day is an occasion with many service members, the location and time of the enlistment of Yoo Taeyang will not be disclosed, and no separate event will be held,” and added, “We are always grateful for the unwavering love from fans for Yoo Taeyang, and we ask for much support for him as he faithfully carries out his military duty and returns in good health.”

After recently finishing a fan meeting, he also said, “From start to finish, it was a precious time made possible by the gathering of much help and strength. I am grateful to everyone who prepared together, and I am truly thankful to the band session members and the members who lit up the stage. I will not forget the best moments we made ‘together’.”

Debuting with SF9 in 2016, he gained popularity while promoting songs including ‘Fanfare’, ‘O Sole Mio’, ‘Went For It’, ‘RPM’, ‘Good Guy’, ‘The Scent of Summer Makes Me Dance’, ‘Trauma’, and ‘Bibora’. In 2024, he also stepped out as a solo singer.
