Set for global release on the 20th (Korea time), Pearl Abyss’s open-world action-adventure game ‘Crimson Desert’ has been selected in two ‘Most Anticipated Game’ categories at the ‘17173 Game Awards’ organized by China’s leading game media outlet ‘17173’.

The 17173 Game Awards is an awards program that selects winners for notable games of the year through user voting and editor evaluations, and ‘Crimson Desert’ earned spots in two categories: ‘Most Anticipated Game Chosen by 17173 Users’ and ‘Global Anticipated Title Selected by 17173 Editors’.

In the user-voted Most Anticipated Game category, only ‘Crimson Desert’ and ‘GTA 6’ were selected among overseas titles, with the remaining picks consisting of Chinese games. The ‘Global Anticipated Title Selected by 17173 Editors’ category included major global anticipated releases such as ‘GTA6’, ‘Marathon’, and ‘Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis’.

Last year, ‘Crimson Desert’ expanded its touchpoints with Chinese gamers by participating in Bilibili World and ChinaJoy. During the events, the ‘Crimson Desert’ booth drew queues, reflecting strong interest from local gamers.

‘Crimson Desert’ is scheduled for worldwide release on PC and console platforms on the 20th.
