Actor Han Jae-Yi, who has captivated the public with an unbounded ability to inhabit characters, has teamed up with Lead Entertainment.
Lead Entertainment stated, “We are pleased to be working with actor Han Jae-Yi, who possesses a versatile look and deep acting prowess,” and added, “We will spare no full support so that, together with Han Jae-Yi’s unique aura and versatile acting, she can showcase a wide range of characters in strong projects.”
Through Netflix ‘Mask Girl’, Han Jae-Yi expanded her public recognition, leaving a striking impression by portraying Kim Chun-Ae as a multifaceted character endowed with humanity and loyalty.
Afterward, in Good Partner, which recorded a peak rating of 17.7%, she played Choi Sa-Ra and projected a powerful presence. By depicting in detail a character who has an affair with the husband of her superior yet shows no sense of guilt, she heightened the story’s tension and, in turn, drew a fervent response from viewers.
After the broadcast, she drew such buzz that the label ‘National Adulteress’ followed her, and she proved her acting strength by convincingly conveying the desires and emotional arc of the character. As a result, she won the Best Performance Award at the SBS Drama Awards, gaining official recognition for her acting.
Most recently, in ‘The Call You Placed’, she appeared as Hong In-A, the stepsister of Hong Hee-Ju (played by Chae Soo-Bin) and the real fiance of Baek Sa-Eon (played by Yoo Yeon-Seok). As a character who disappears the day before her wedding and then reappears, she added tension amid an unpredictable plot and was credited with further enhancing immersion.
Crossing diverse genres and proving a broad acting spectrum, Han Jae-Yi has built a signature color with expressive range that spans delicacy and resolve. Since debuting in 2013 with Nuguui Ttaldo Anin Haewon, she has built her presence on the big screen through works such as Uri Seon-Hee, Yeol-Ahop, Yeon-Ju, Geomeun Dwaeji, and Jeolmeun-Eui Yangji, and she has also been active on the small screen in titles such as Hotel Del Luna, Nal Nogyeojuo, and Neoreul Dalm-Eun Saram, completing a solid filmography.
