Lifetime U+mobiletv ‘Love Phobia’ broadcast capture
Actor Kim So-ha captivated the small screen with cheerful ‘MZ flirting’.
On the 26th and 27th of last month, in the Lifetime drama ‘Love Phobia’, Kim So-ha appeared as Shin Yu-kyung, a member of the It’s You TF team for the AI dating app, drawing attention with the confident and candid attitude characteristic of the MZ generation.
In episode 3, as Shin Yu-kyung was leaving the conference room, she bumped into Han Agency employee Han Baek-ho (played by Choi Byung-chan) on his first day at It’s You. About to get angry, she fell for him at first sight and launched straight into ‘flirting’. She said to Han Baek-ho, “Do you know how to say ‘you are handsome’ in English? You are my boyfriend (You are my boyfriend),” openly revealing her interest.
It’s You was collecting data needed to develop the second generation of Pomi modeled on Han Agency head Han Seon-ho (played by Kim Hyun-jin). They approached Han Seon-ho’s younger brother, Han Baek-ho, to obtain information about his dating style. At first wary and sparing with words, Han Baek-ho was just about to speak when Shin Yu-kyung suddenly asked, “What is your style when you date, Mr. Baek-ho?” delivering a blunt ‘straight pitch’ that drew laughter.
Afterward, Shin Yu-kyung’s proactive and bubbly presence injected energy into the story. Due to a system error, Han Baek-ho’s AI girlfriend was reset, plunging him into deep loss. Seeing this, after work Shin Yu-kyung took him to a street stall bar to lift his spirits. When Han Baek-ho asked why she had brought him there, she replied, “I want to meet a man out of my league. That is you, Baek-ho,” showing off her quirky ‘flirting’.
Seeing the drunken Han Baek-ho unable to remove the whelk shell, Shin Yu-kyung took the whelk from him and deftly peeled it. Delighted, Han Baek-ho even exchanged a spontaneous high-five with her. Amid a subtle mood, Shin Yu-kyung slowly moved in to kiss him. Just before the kiss, the stall owner appeared and broke the atmosphere, and Shin Yu-kyung said, “The timing...,” expressing her regret.
In ‘Love Phobia’, Kim So-ha naturally brings to life the bold and honest charm typical of the MZ generation, adding vitality to the drama. In particular, as she forms a subtle romantic current with Han Baek-ho, attention is focused on how the two will develop their relationship.
‘Love Phobia’ is a romance drama in which Yoon Bi-a, the head of a dating app who feels more comfortable with AI than with people, and Han Seon-ho, a romantic novelist, design smart love with AI and come to realize the meaning of true love. Episode 5 of ‘Love Phobia’ airs at 11 p.m. on the 5th on Lifetime, and will be released at 10 a.m. on the 9th on U+mobiletv.
