Amid continued interest in his post-resignation path, some interpret the launch of the channel as a move to resume full-fledged activities.
Netizens who saw this are showing various reactions, such as “Was he not heading to the Blue House?”, “Return of a PR genius?”, “He went from ‘Chungju Man’ to ‘PR man’,” and “Surely this is not a fake account, right?”
However, no videos have been uploaded so far. Further verification is needed on whether channel activity will proceed in earnest and whether the account is actually operated by the former official Kim.
Earlier, after news of his resignation was reported on the 13th, former official Kim became embroiled in various speculation, including rumors of ‘ostracism within the organization’ and ‘discord’. He denied internal conflict, saying it was “a decision made after considering personal goals and new challenges”.
Meanwhile, following news of the resignation of former official Kim, the official YouTube channel of Chungju City saw its subscribers drop from 970,000 by more than 200,000. Subsequently, aided by efforts from the successor operations team to improve content, it rebounded to 770,000 as of the 3rd.
