Actor Lee Dong-hwi’s so-called ‘pumba’ outerwear has become a hot topic after being revealed as a high-priced item.

On last month’s episode of I Live Alone, producer Kokun and Lee Dong-hwi’s trip to Busan was featured. The two met early in the morning at Seoul Station, and Lee Dong-hwi’s distinctive fashion drew attention as soon as he appeared.

Seeing this, broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo joked, “I admit he dresses well. Even so, isn’t that ‘pumba’?” Kokun also teased, saying, “Did you match the TPO all the way to Seoul Station?” prompting laughter.

To this, Lee Dong-hwi retorted, “It’s something I wear normally. I threw it on and rushed out because I was afraid I’d be late. It’s a brand I like. Imagine how upset the person who made it would be,” and then added with a smile, “I can see how it could be misunderstood.”

After the broadcast, the price of the outfit was shared online, drawing attention once again. The outerwear is from the Japanese brand Maison Mihara Yasuhiro and is reportedly priced at approximately $3,000 (4,000,000 KRW).

Although it picked up the nickname ‘pumba’, it was in fact a high-end brand piece. Netizens who saw this reacted in various ways, saying things like “Fashion really is hard,” “Lee Dong-hwi’s fashion is always experimental,” and “Honestly, it does suit him.”
