Onew (ONEW) of the group SHINee unveiled a new song music video teaser of overwhelming scale, further stoking anticipation for his comeback.

On the 3rd, through his official YouTube channel, Onew posted the first music video teaser for the title track of the same name from his fifth mini-album, ‘TOUGH LOVE(Tough Love)’.

In the video, Onew is swept along by a mysterious sphere in a deep, silent tunnel, bearing the weight of destiny on his shoulders. He staggers and falls again and again under relentless waves of pain, but soon rises and dashes forward. The video ends with Onew finally reaching an exit flooded with dazzling light, further heightening curiosity for the full music video.

In particular, the lyrics with a forward-looking message, ‘Jump in jump in to the ends of the world / Dive in dive in without fear’, were revealed for the first time, captivating both eyes and ears. With a chorus that contrasts with the previously released album preview, the distinctive and captivating vocals of Onew heighten emotional immersion over an addictive sound, boasting a high level of polish.

‘TOUGH LOVE’ is a song in which Onew took part in both writing and composing, born from close, in-person collaboration with leading overseas songwriters. Onew expands his musical scope globally and is set to showcase authenticity as a solo artist.

The fifth mini-album ‘TOUGH LOVE’ breaks away from cliched love stories, weaving the various facets of love we encounter in the world like a single novel. Onew, taking part not only in lyrics but also, for the first time since debut, in composition, aims to further solidify his presence as a producer beyond artist.
