‘Chungju Man’ Kim Seon-tae has launched a YouTube channel, and Chungju City left a comment on the first video, drawing attention.
When the first video was posted on the ‘Kim Seon-tae’ YouTube channel on the 3rd, the official YouTube channel of Chungju City left a comment reading “Seontae, my Seontae.” The channel is currently run by Administrative Officer Choi Ji-ho, who succeeded Kim Seon-tae.

Upon seeing this, netizens reacted with witty comments such as “Ji-ho has arrived,” “He speaks informally right away because he is a former senior,” and “Please collaborate so we can see you filing civil complaints.”
In the first video, about 2 minutes and 11 seconds long, released on the 3rd, Kim Seon-tae explained, “It may have looked as if I left as though I was being kicked out, but that is not the case. Many Chungju City officials helped me,” adding, “It was unprecedented, and there were aspects that did not fit the organization, but they were understanding.”
Addressing rumors that there was envy and jealousy within the organization, he admitted, “Such things exist in any organization. I also badmouthed others a lot.”

As for the fundamental reason he decided to resign, he said, “I think I did as much as I could. With around one million subscribers, I believe I did my part.” He added that after leaving public office, “I received offers from various places, but I wanted to try working freely. I hope people will see me kindly.”

He stated that the biggest reason he left public service was, “I wanted to make more money.” He continued, “I am soon 40. I want to demonstrate my capabilities before it is too late,” and joked, “Of course, I do not know whether I have any capabilities. It could really fail,” eliciting laughter.

Meanwhile, as of 9 a.m. that day, the YouTube channel ‘Kim Seon-tae’, launched on the 2nd, had 640,000 subscribers. Just two days after its launch, the channel has already passed the Silver Button and is rapidly heading toward the Gold Button.
