Singer WOODZ (Cho Seung-yeon) will release his first full-length album since debut, ‘Archive. 1’, on the 4th.
At 6 p.m. that day, through various online music platforms, WOODZ will unveil his first studio album ‘Archive. 1’ and begin full-fledged comeback promotions.
‘Archive. 1’ is WOODZ's first full-length album in the 13 years since debut, and the first record signaling a new beginning. He has condensed into this album the musical colors he has built up over years of activity and what WOODZ likes and does well, and, with a total of 17 songs, has heightened its completeness with tracks each carrying a distinct charm. Having participated in writing, composing, and producing every track, WOODZ conveyed that through this album he aims to move beyond the ‘preparation stage’ and make it a starting point for a full-fledged leap.
The album contains 17 tracks in total, starting with ‘00:30’, ‘Super Lazy’, ‘Harusari’, ‘Hwageun’, ‘Human Extinction’, ‘Bihaeng’, ‘Bloodline’, ‘Downtown’, ‘STOP THAT’, ‘NA NA NA’, ‘Momburim’, ‘BEEP’, ‘Plastic’, ‘GLASS’, ‘CINEMA’, ‘Samo’, and ‘To My January’. Beyond the track count, it spans collaborations with overseas creators and genres including rock ballad, pop punk, jazz, and alternative R&B, forecasting WOODZ's wide musical spectrum.
The double title track ‘Human Extinction’ is a song themed on the duality of light and humanity. It poses a philosophical question about how to define humans between perfection and imperfection, while a driving band sound leaves a strong impression. The other title track, ‘NA NA NA’, tells the story of someone who falls in love in an instant, with powerful, refreshing vocals and rhythms led by an addictive bass and guitar riff.
Earlier, with the pre-released tracks ‘CINEMA’ and ‘Bloodline’, WOODZ energetically opened the door to the first studio album and heightened expectations. In particular, as he established himself as a ‘trustworthy, must-listen artist’ by ranking No. 1 on domestic year-end charts, including Melon, with his self-written song ‘Drowning’, attention is focusing on the album's entire tracklist beyond the title tracks. In fact, since ‘Drowning’ was a track on the 5th mini album ‘OO-LI (Uri)’, anticipation is building for the possible emergence of another hidden track on this full-length album.
In addition, the film ‘Slide Strum Mute(Seulaideu Seureom Myuteu)’, which offers another way to enjoy WOODZ's full-length album, opened on the 26th of last month, surpassed 10,000 real-time advance reservations even before release, and ranked 4th in real-time reservation rate (as of 7 p.m. on the 25th). Stage greetings and GV have also sold out all seats, continuing a heated response. Ahead of release, on the 2nd, he invited fans to a pre-listening session, sharing all tracks from the first studio album together for the very first time.
Meanwhile, starting with today's release of the first studio album ‘Archive. 1’, WOODZ will begin full-fledged comeback activities through music shows and various content. Then, beginning with a performance at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 14th, he will embark on the 17-city ‘2026 WOODZ WORLD TOUR ‘Archive. 1’’, spanning Asia, Europe, and Oceania, kicking off his global march in earnest.
