Actor Seo Jun-young wrapped up the final performance of the play ‘Happiness’ to great acclaim, sharing his reflections on concluding his first-ever theater run.
On the 1st, at Seoul’s Naru Art Center, Seo Jun-young connected with audiences through the play ‘Happiness’, which drew its curtain. The production portrays a poignant love between a husband living with Alzheimer’s disease and a wife living with Cornelia de Lange syndrome. Triple-cast as the ‘Husband’ alongside Hong Kyung-in and Lee Tae-il, Seo earned praise for presenting a husband figure with distinct charms in each portrayal.
Having completed an intensive run from January 1 to March 1, Seo conveyed his heartfelt closing remarks through his agency, T&I Cultures. Delivering densely layered emotions to express his own version of the ‘Husband’, he said, “Although it was my first play since debut and I was nervous, thanks to my fellow actors, the staff, and the audience, I was able to immerse myself in every moment and give my very best,” expressing his gratitude.
He added in particular, “I’m glad I took on a new challenge. I did my utmost at every performance so that the audience members who came could take ‘Happiness’ with them,” and pledged, “Going forward, regardless of medium, I will continue to be an actor who delivers emotion and happiness to fans and audiences.”
