The Grammy-winning Icelandic singer-songwriter ‘Laufey’ will meet Korean fans with a solo concert.
Having begun piano and cello in childhood, Laufey performed as a cello soloist in her teens, showcasing her musical prowess. While attending Berklee College of Music, her debut single ‘Street by Street’ captivated music fans and reached No. 1 on the Icelandic radio charts.
Her first EP [Typical of Me], released in 2021, drew attention from musicians including Billie Eilish and earned critical acclaim. The following year, her first full-length album [Everything I Know About Love] reached No. 3 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart and No. 1 on the Alternative New Artist Albums chart.
Her second album [Bewitched], released in 2023, achieved Spotify’s best-ever debut for a jazz album, with representative tracks such as ‘From the Start’ gaining major popularity. At the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, she won ‘Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album,’ earning the distinction of being the youngest winner in the category. Her third album [A Matter of Time], unveiled last August, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards she won again, marking back-to-back wins in the same category across two albums.

With lush orchestral arrangements, a delicate pop sound where bossa nova and jazz intersect, and sweet alto vocals, Laufey’s music revives the sounds of a bygone era with a contemporary sensibility and is loved worldwide, earning labels such as ‘Gen Z pop-jazz icon,’ ‘a jazz and classical ambassador for Gen Z,’ and ‘Laufey-core.’ To date, she has surpassed 4.25 billion global streams, was named to Forbes’s ‘30 Under 30 in Music,’ and appeared on TIME’s 2025 ‘Women of the Year’ list, continuing a dazzling run of achievements.
She has sold out the Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall; after appearing as a guest with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic at last year’s Coachella Festival, she is set for a solo set at Coachella this year. In 2024, she visited Korea for the first time for a festival stage, delivering a show that moved between guitar and piano with captivating vocals, drawing admiration and thunderous applause from the audience. Now, as part of the namesake tour supporting [A Matter of Time] and her first solo Korea date, this concert will offer a special encounter with local fans.
Laufey’s Seoul concert will take place on June 7, 2026 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2, Hall 9. Tickets will be sold exclusively via the official seller NOL Ticket starting at 12:00 p.m. on March 9.
