New weekend miniseries ‘Doctor Shin’ on TV Chosun

In the new TV Chosun weekend miniseries ‘Doctor Shin’, Jung Yi-chan and Baek Se-ra share a ‘first meeting’ that heralds a fated love that will sweep in like a storm.

Set to premiere at 10:30 p.m. on the 14th, the new TV Chosun weekend miniseries ‘Doctor Shin’ (written by Phoebe (Im Seong-han)/directed by Lee Seung-hoon/produced by Ssin&Studio, TME Group) is a medical thriller about a genius doctor who dares to challenge the realm of the divine and a woman whose brain is damaged overnight as her soul fades away. ‘Doctor Shin’ is drawing keen attention as the first medical thriller written by Phoebe, hailed as the ‘alchemist of the unconventional’ who has created irreplaceable stories. In addition, director Lee Seung-hoon of Marriage Lyrics, Divorce Composition takes the helm, producing a fantastic synergy befitting the ‘first medical thriller by Phoebe’.

In ‘Doctor Shin’, Jung Yi-chan plays Shin Ju-shin, a genius doctor with near-supernatural skill in brain surgery, while Baek Se-ra plays Momo, a top actress at the height of popularity, teaming up in acting for the first time. In particular, as Jung Yi-chan and Baek Se-ra were personally selected by writer Phoebe through auditions after overcoming fierce competition, there is intense interest in how they will perform in their first leading roles.

Jung Yi-chan and Baek Se-ra announce the beginning of a spark-filled romance that serves as a meaningful motif in ‘Doctor Shin’, drawing attention. In the scene, Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) invites Momo (played by Baek Se-ra) to an upscale restaurant for their first face-to-face meeting.
