Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang (real name Park Jeong-won) appeared before police in connection with being sued on charges of false accusation.

Daejeon Dunsan Police Station conducted questioning of Tzuyang as the accused in the complaint starting at 1 p.m. on the 10th. Around 12:50 p.m. that day, she arrived at the station with her legal representative, attorney Kim Tae-yeon.

Arriving at the main entrance wearing a black cap and coat, Tzuyang told reporters, “I will only tell the facts and come out,” and added, “I believe the truth will be revealed someday.”

Her legal representative, attorney Kim Tae-yeon, said, “A decision not to refer the past false-accusation case filed by the accuser was also made,” adding, “We expect a decision not to refer this case as well without major difficulty.”

Earlier, YouTuber Gujaeyeok (real name Lee Jun-hee) filed a complaint alleging false accusation, claiming that Tzuyang and agency officials pursued a complaint based on false information. His side argues that Tzuyang distorted their remarks and spread false information.

They also argue that no physical search of staff from her agency actually took place, and that the submitted audio file is the entire recording rather than a portion, viewing this as constituting criminal false accusation.

Separately, Gujaeyeok was brought to trial on charges that, after claiming to have received tips about alleged issues involving the private life and tax evasion of Tzuyang, he pressured by threatening to make them public and demanded money, obtaining about 55 million won. He received a three-year prison sentence in both the first and second trials, and the case is currently under appeal at the Supreme Court.
