A character parade by actor Yoo Yeon-seok has been teased.
The production presentation for SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Shin I-rang Law Office’ was held on the 11th at SBS headquarters in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. In attendance were Yoo Yeon-seok, Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and PD Shin Jung-hoon.
Premiering at 9:50 p.m. on the 13th, ‘Shin I-rang Law Office’ portrays the curious yet warm adventure of the ‘possessed lawyer’ Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok), who thrillingly resolves the grudges of the deceased, and the ‘cold-blooded elite lawyer’ Han Na-hyun (Esom), who stakes everything on winning.
PD Shin, making his directorial debut with this work, began by saying, “I am very nervous. I was pleased to meet ‘Shin I-rang’ as my debut project.”

He continued, “Since I first dreamed of directing, I wanted to do a drama with a comedic tone that conveys warmth and reaches people in an easy, comfortable way,” adding, “Then this project came to me, and it is an honor to work with actors I love dearly.”
Yoo Yeon-seok plays lawyer Shin I-rang, who happens to see ghosts after opening a law office in what used to be a shaman’s house, leading a warm and cheerful story. In particular, as he becomes possessed by various spirits, he is expected to showcase a wide range of character acting.
Yoo said, “I think I have staked my life on it. While doing possession acting, I filmed while thinking about how far I could let go,” drawing laughter.

He went on, “I try to show sides I have not shown in each project, and when I received this script, I thought I could show a different side every week,” adding, “Since I have no experience with possession, I actually sought out a shaman for advice and watched videos, observing a lot and trying to act. I also observed the traits and gestures of the actors playing the ghosts in each episode to build links.”
In particular, regarding the possession performance of an idol-turned high school girl revealed in the highlight video, he explained, “I remember disastrously doing a random play dance on YouTube with PD Na Young-seok in the past. The director said that since I was going to be possessed anyway, let us show that side again, so I trained with a dancer for about two months and prepared hard.”
He added, “I showed the dance video to IVE (a group from the same agency) and also filmed a dance video together. It will be released after the broadcast,” heightening expectations.

PD Shin also expressed a special resolve, saying, “I have staked my life on it.” As the previous Friday-Saturday drama ‘From Today, I Am Human, But’ did not achieve strong results, he candidly said, “It would be a lie to say there is no pressure. I also feel the burden that I must keep the company afloat.”
Even so, he said, “Although various shamanism-themed content has been coming out recently, our biggest weapon is that we approach viewers easily and comfortably as a human comedy adventure drama,” adding, “Although ghosts appear, it is not scary at all, and unlike the ghosts we have seen so far, new ones appear every week. There is also the fun of watching I-rang perform possession acting and the fun of watching the reactions that come from seeing him. We will confidently present a drama the whole family can enjoy while laughing and chatting.”
