In the video, he introduced his newly secured office, signaling a fresh start as a YouTuber.
In the footage, Kim Seon-tae revealed an office with a deposit of $3,750 (5,000,000 KRW) and monthly rent of $487.50 (650,000 KRW), explaining, “It’s not exactly cheap in Chungju. I’m not disparaging Chungju; it’s just not really cheap.” Even so, he expressed satisfaction, saying, “I like it because it gets good sunlight and it’s on ground level.”

He said, “I brought water separately because there isn’t a water purifier yet,” while showing the inside of the office. Then, upon finding parts of the wallpaper torn and a smoke detector detached, he trailed off with a civil-servant-like reaction, saying, “The fire code...” which drew laughs.

He added a practical note: “The reason I’m filming this is to keep evidence in case the landlord later tells me to pay for it,” and when he saw water leaking in the boiler room, he looked flustered and asked, “Is water supposed to come out of a boiler?”

Kim Seon-tae said, “I had originally thought about a studio apartment, but I figured if things go well later and I need staff, it would be better to have separated space,” adding, “In a way, it’s a bet. I do worry whether I can make enough to pay it back.” He went on, “In a way, it’s a bet,” and added, “I’m a bit worried whether I can pay it back. It does feel like I’ve pulled something from the future.”
As his office was unveiled, netizens cheered on his move as a YouTuber, leaving joking reactions such as “So this is what a conglomerate’s headquarters looks like.” Collaboration offers from various companies are also continuing to appear in the comments.
Regarding the explosive view count, netizens reacted with comments like “I was startled when I saw the numbers,” and “Back when he was Chungju Man, I think many people didn’t subscribe because it was a local government channel.”
Meanwhile, Kim Seon-tae, a former Chungju City official known as ‘Chungju Man’ for drawing attention with the city’s promotional content, left public service last month. He launched his YouTube channel on the 2nd and hit 1 million subscribers in just three days, making waves once again.
