At the wedding of Hyunsuk and Youngsik from the 26th cohort of the ENA·SBS Plus variety show ‘I Am Solo,’ PD Nam Gyu-hong delivered a congratulatory address that drew attention.

Hyunsuk explained, “Because he felt pressured, we told him he absolutely did not have to do it, but he made the difficult decision,” adding, “We had prepared everything assuming the PD would not do it, so there would be no problem even if he canceled. You could say it was a wedding that ‘I Am Solo’ fans really enjoyed.” She then added, “He seemed rather calm, but he was shaking tremendously. You could see he was nervous. I think that made it even more moving.”

In his address, PD Nam Gyu-hong recalled when the two first met. He said, “It was a bitterly cold winter. The two had no connection on site. When it was announced that the women would make the choice that day, Hyunsuk did not choose Youngsik even once. Youngsik, like a fool, gave up the final choice and headed home. If I had known it would turn out like this, she should at least have chosen him,” eliciting laughter.

He continued, “I think a lot happened in Pangyo,” and recalled, “Because Hyunsuk had a beautiful smile and a kind heart, we invited her to Solo Nation. We also invited Youngsik to Solo Nation because his smile was beautiful, he was smart, and he was a somewhat older young man. I never expected the two of you would end up like this.”

Lastly, PD Nam said, “After you get married, fighting and going through ups and downs is inevitable. If you love each other much more, everything will be resolved. Love each other every day as if doing childhood homework. I hope you live happily,” blessing their future.

Meanwhile, during her appearance on the ENA·SBS Plus dating reality program ‘I Am Solo,’ 26th cohort member Hyunsuk became the final couple with Gwangsu, but after the broadcast she and Youngsik developed into a romantic relationship. The two held their wedding this past January.
