TV personality Seo Dong-ju said that after undergoing IVF, she saw two lines on a pregnancy test. However, she added that she is still in a wait-and-see stage and shared her cautious feelings.

On the 12th, Seo posted a photo of a pregnancy test on her social media (SNS) to share an update. She said, “Because of severe diminished ovarian reserve, I spent two years only retrieving eggs and finally had my first embryo transfer,” and explained, “I had a frozen transfer of one day-3 embryo and two day-4 embryos.”

She continued, “On day 7, I saw two lines on the pregnancy test like a Magic Eye image,” adding, “As I watched the lines grow a little darker, I thought, ‘Am I really pregnant?’”

But the joy was short-lived. Seo shared her anxious time, saying, “In the first blood test, my hCG level was too low, and in the second and third tests it didn’t double, so I wondered if I might be experiencing a chemical pregnancy.”

Fortunately, subsequent tests showed hopeful changes. She said, “In the fourth blood test, the numbers miraculously went over 100, and the doctor said there is still a little room to keep watching for now,” adding, “I’m scheduled to have another blood test this Saturday.”

She said she is spending each day with mixed feelings as she waits for the results. She confessed, “As this ambiguous time of seeming pregnant yet not continues, my heart is in tatters,” and, “I’ve become a slave to hormones and to the test kits, praying through tears and enduring each day.” She added, “I’m hoping to hear even a little bit of better news. Please pray for me.”

Seo has been sharing her IVF process through her YouTube channel and other platforms. She said, “It took two years to collect three embryos,” adding, “I’m grateful just that it implanted on the first transfer.”

She also said that although the outcome hasn’t been confirmed yet, she has chosen a prenatal nickname. She said, “We have six dogs and cats at home, and if a baby comes, they’ll be the seventh member of the family,” expressing her affection: “With the meaning of ‘lucky 7,’ we chose the prenatal nickname ‘Chilbok-i.’”

Meanwhile, Seo Dong-ju is the daughter of the late comedian Seo Se-won and TV personality Seo Jeong-hee, and after working as a lawyer in the United States, she has been communicating with the public through broadcasting and YouTube. She remarried in June last year to an entertainment industry professional four years her junior.
