Actor Park Ye-ni will meet home viewers through JTBC new SaturdaySunday drama ‘Everyone Is Fighting Their Worthlessness’.
In the new JTBC SaturdaySunday drama ‘Everyone Is Fighting Their Worthlessness’ (directed by Cha Young-hoon, written by Park Hae-young, produced by Studio Phoenix·SLL·Studio Flow, hereafter ‘Mojamussa’), which premieres on April 18, Park Ye-ni appears as Hyo-jin, a PD at the film company Choi Film, continuing her unstoppable momentum.
‘Mojamussa’ follows a person who, stuck among accomplished friends, is tormented by envy and jealousy and driven to the brink, tracing their search for peace. With Gu Gyo-hwan, Go Youn-jung, Oh Jung-se, Kang Mal-geum, and Park Hae-joon confirming their participation, the star-studded lineup signals unprecedented synergy.
In the story, Hyo-jin, played by Park Ye-ni, is a PD at Choi Film and a member of the film industry circle ‘Group of Eight’. She finds the pretension of fellow member Dong-man (played by Gu Gyo-hwan) distasteful, while quietly revealing envy and jealousy toward Eun-a (played by Go Youn-jung), who is more capable than she is, creating delicate tensions among the characters.
Known for naturally bringing out each character’s individuality and energizing the narrative, Park Ye-ni is expected to heighten her presence by capturing the realistic sides of Hyo-jin in three dimensions with her characteristically lively acting.
Park Ye-ni left a strong impression on viewers in last year’s JTBC drama ‘A Hundred Memories’, playing Choi Jung-bun, a conductor at Cheonga Transport. Early on, she delivered both laughter and heart with her cheerful chemistry with fellow conductors, and she went on to portray a range of emotions from maternal love for her daughter Su-jin to a love triangle, serving as a vital source of energy for the series. She also nailed a punchy dialect and era-evoking styling, completing a charming character.
In particular, Park Ye-ni has announced her casting in the film ‘Intern’, signaling activity on the big screen. In ‘Intern’, she plays Yoo-jin, an MD at fashion company Woo22 (Ututu), set to portray a professional office worker who gives her all. Anticipation is building for Park Ye-ni’s acting transformation as she continues a diverse run of castings.
Meanwhile, JTBC new SaturdaySunday drama ‘Mojamussa’, where Park Ye-ni’s fresh performance will unfold, will premiere on Saturday, April 18 at 10:40 p.m.
