Jang Su-won, formerly of the group Sechs Kies, said he put his home up for sale due to regulations targeting owners of multiple homes.

On the 14th, comedian Lee Yong-jin’s YouTube channel released ‘Episode 40 of Jang Su-won Mockery Fest 2’.

In the video, Jang said, “My baby is 18 months old, and I really love taking care of the baby. It was a bit hard when the baby couldn’t sleep through the night, but now the baby understands and can express things, so it’s so cute,” sharing a parenting update.

On finances, he said, “Back in our day, we didn’t use written contracts; we did things verbally. Not only our company but others, too, weren’t transparent in their settlements back then, so I don’t think we earned well,” and added, “I didn’t do stocks, but I won a housing subscription. I was selected for an apartment subscription in Jamsil, but I didn’t have the interim payment, so I said I would go busking. I managed to scrape it together with difficulty.”

Later, when Lee Yong-jin asked, “You must not be feeling great these days, since they’re cracking down on owners of multiple homes,” Jang drew attention by answering frankly, “That’s why I put them all up for sale. I don’t have money to pay the taxes.”

Previously, Jang had been mentioned as one of the celebrities conducting TikTok Live broadcasts, drawing attention. With reports that some celebrities are earning high profits through TikTok Live, Jang is also said to be continuing live activities on that platform.

On online communities and social media, Jang’s remarks about regulations on owners of multiple homes and his TikTok Live activity overlapped, prompting a variety of reactions. Netizens commented, “So are you doing TikTok Live because of taxes?”, “You’d think he made a lot of money with Sechs Kies,” and “No need to worry about celebrities,” among other responses.

Meanwhile, in the video Jang said, “I’m doing it in the resort destination Boracay. It’s crab. There’s also cereal shrimp,” introducing that he is operating a restaurant overseas.
