Actor Kim Dahin successfully concluded the final performance of Road Theater ‘Club Latin’, once again cementing an irreplaceable onstage presence.
Road Theater ‘Club Latin’, which closed on the 15th, was the second production commemorating the 50th anniversary of Yeonwoo Stage, and since opening in February it portrayed sincere stories about life and dreams, earning balanced praise from both critics and audiences. In particular, this run, built on deep trust in actor Kim Dahin, drew the response ‘As expected, Kim Dahin’ from theatergoers and became an occasion to reaffirm the true value Kim holds as an artist.
In the play, Kim Dahin took on the role of ‘Munpil’, giving dimensional expression to the anguish between a pure longing for travel and reality. Kim went beyond simply performing a part to become the character and command the stage, and moved the audience with live acoustic guitar and a plain yet deeply resonant vocal delivery. The finely layered acting, honed across plays, musicals, and screen work, was said to have more solidly supported the structure of a piece that moves flexibly between fiction and nonfiction.
With only a single stand microphone and a voice, the command that changed the atmosphere of the space clearly demonstrated why Kim continues to receive constant offers in the performing arts scene.

Thanks to the audience, the character ‘Munpil’ could romp even more joyfully and, if only for a moment, unfold the dream long cherished. Because Munpil resembles me quite a lot, I truly enjoyed performing throughout. As in the lines of the play, I sincerely support everyone who carries a dream in their heart and lives while holding that dream.”
On stage, Kim Dahin fully demonstrated the strength of a seasoned performer and brought the run to a flawless close. Given the method acting that completely inhabits each role and the power to draw audiences in, attention from the performing arts and media communities is now focused on the next step.
