Three audience members fell and were injured at a Super Junior concert.
On the 5th, during the encore show of the 20th-anniversary world tour celebrating the debut of Super Junior, ‘SUPER JUNIOR 20th Anniversary Tour < SUPER SHOW 10 > SJ’ (SUPER JUNIOR 20th Anniversary TOUR 〈SUPER SHOW 10〉 SJ), held at Seoul KSPO DOME (the former Gymnastics Stadium), a fence in the seating area collapsed, causing spectators to fall.
SM Entertainment stated, “During the final song of the encore, the safety fence we had installed beside the seating area collapsed, causing three audience members to fall and be injured. The injured were immediately transported to the hospital, where they received necessary tests and treatment, and medical staff advised two weeks of rest and treatment due to sprains and contusions.”
It continued, “We extend our deepest apologies to those affected and their families, and we will support treatment so the injured audience members can make a full recovery, doing our utmost until they are completely well.”
It added, “As the event organizer, we fully recognize our heavy responsibility for this incident and will ensure thorough facility safety inspections and audience safety management to prevent any recurrence,” and “To those who were injured and to all attendees, we once again bow our heads in apology for the concern caused by this unexpected accident, and we are sorry.”
