Actor Song Yi-woo shared thoughts on the conclusion of the drama ‘Siren’.
Song Yi-woo’s side stated on the 8th that in the tvN MondayTuesday drama ‘Siren’, which ended on the 7th, she played Hwang Suk-jithe only friend of Han Seol-a (Park Min-young) and a bar owner near Royal Auctionand offered closing remarks as the series wrapped. For Song Yi-woo, it was a long-awaited return after the Tving original ‘Rose Mansion’.
In the series, Hwang Suk-ji was first singled out as a prime suspect in the early murder case, but as the episodes progressed, she was depicted as a person holding clues to the case. In episode 10, it was revealed that she was an ally rather than a suspect, shifting the weight of the character. Song Yi-woo portrayed Hwang Suk-ji’s transformation amid relationships entangled around Han Seol-a with Cha Woo-seok (Wi Ha-jun) and Do Eun-hyeok (Han Jun-woo).
In her closing remarks, Song Yi-woo said, “It was a meaningful time to be able to greet viewers with a project after a long while. I thought it would be nice if the moment the project ended wasn’t the last.” She added, “It was meaningful to be able to express various emotions through the character Hwang Suk-ji, and it was a time that left both a sense of release and a lingering regret.”
Regarding future plans, she said, “I will continue to strive to show new sides through a variety of projects.”
