‘SWIM’ ranks No. 2 on the Hot 100
Also No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 2 consecutive weeks

The group BTS simultaneously placed 10 songs on Billboard’s main songs chart, the ‘Hot 100’.
According to agency BigHit Music on the 8th, Billboard’s latest charts (dated April 11), announced on the 7th, show that the title track ‘SWIM’ from BTS’s fifth full-length album ‘Arirang’ (ARIRANG) ranked No. 2 on the ‘Hot 100’. Ten of the 14 tracks entered the chart. Following ‘SWIM’, ‘Body to Body’ was at No. 42, ‘Hooligan’ at No. 64, ‘NORMAL’ at No. 73, ‘FYA’ at No. 74, ‘2.0’ at No. 75, ‘Aliens’ at No. 84, ‘Like Animals’ at No. 90, ‘they don’t know ‘bout us’ at No. 94, and ‘Merry Go Round’ at No. 96.
Global chart results also continued. ‘SWIM’ ranked No. 1 for two consecutive weeks on both the ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global (excluding U.S.)’, and ‘Body to Body’ placed No. 2 on both charts. Excluding the bell sound of the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok, 13 vocal tracks made the top 30 on ‘Global (excluding U.S.)’ and the top 40 on the ‘Global 200’.
BTS also held No. 1 that week on the ‘Artist 100’, ‘Digital Song Sales’, ‘Top Album Sales’, and ‘Billboard 200’ charts. BTS is the only Korean act to have topped the main albums chart, the ‘Billboard 200’, for two weeks in a row. They ranked No. 2 on ‘World Digital Song Sales’ and ‘Streaming Songs’, and No. 3 on ‘Top Streaming Albums’ and ‘Vinyl Albums’.
Japan’s Oricon announced on the 8th that ‘Arirang’ topped the ‘Weekly Streaming Ranking’ (dated April 13, aggregation period March 30~April 5) for a second consecutive week with approximately 8.55 million weekly streams. According to Oricon, this is the first time since November 2024 that an overseas artist has held No. 1 on this chart for two weeks, following ‘APT.’ (Rose and Bruno Mars). BTS previously reached No. 1 on the same chart with ‘Dynamite’, ‘Film out’, ‘Butter’, ‘Permission to Dance’, and ‘Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)’.
The fifth studio album ‘Arirang’ is BTS’s first new album in 3 years and 9 months. A record that explores universal emotions, the title track ‘SWIM’ expresses a resolve to keep moving forward despite life’s hardships. RM was broadly involved in writing the lyrics.
