Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, who star in the film ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, which returns with a sequel after 20 years, shared their thoughts on reuniting.
The two attended a press conference in Korea for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ at the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, on the morning of the 8th. After the press conference, in the afternoon, they will hold a red carpet event at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, to meet Korean fans.

Anne Hathaway, on reuniting after 20 years, said, “What impressed me most when we shot the first film was that Meryl, when she acts, listens deeply to what others say. I learned many lessons from watching that,” and added, “It is easy to get absorbed only in your own performance, but she delivered truly profound acting, and I thought she thinks very fast. ‘Meryl does it well, and I am in awe’ - that is our chemistry.”
Meryl Streep said, “In the first film, it was not much fun because, for the sake of the character, I did not hang out with people and spent a lot of time alone in the trailer,” and added, “In the second film, our energy reignited, and I was glad to see Anne fully grown.”

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is a sequel opening 20 years after the first film, in which Miranda (Meryl Streep), still editor in chief of the top fashion magazine ‘Runway’, reunites with Andy (Anne Hathaway), who has returned as a features editor, and, while adapting to a changing media environment, they lead the fashion world.
The film will have its world premiere in South Korea on the 29th.
